Ofsted has criticised council leadership on child sexual exploitation (CSE) hours after MPs demanded explanations from the inspectorate over how children in Rotherham were failed.

This morning, chair of the House of Commons' communities and local government committee Clive Betts told The MJ Ofsted had been 'jolted out of its complacency by the Jay report' on CSE in Rotherham.
