MPs query 2012 City Deals cash

An influential group of MPs have claimed it is still not clear who is accountable for the devolved money given to the first wave of City Deals, three years after they were first signed.

An influential group of MPs have claimed it is still not clear who is accountable for the devolved money given to the first wave of City Deals, three years after they were first signed.

In a report published yesterday, the public accounts committee said the Government has failed to monitor the effectiveness of the eight deals, which were signed in 2012.
