A cross-party coalition of MPs has called for the power for local authorities to hold hybrid council meetings to be restored.
An early day motion urging the Government to make the provision permanent has so far been signed by 17 MPs, including ex-Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, former shadow chancellor John McDonnell, Lib Dem frontbenchers Layla Moran and Daisy Cooper, Conservative Father of the House Sir Peter Bottomley, Plaid Cymru Treasury spokesperson Ben Lake and sole Green MP Caroline Lucas.
