MPs slate CQC for drop in inspection due to workload

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) failed in its inspection duties over the past year putting public health at risk, according to a Commons Health Committee report.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) failed in its inspection duties over the past year putting public health at risk, according to a Commons Health Committee report.

The committee found there was a ‘significant distortion of priorities' towards registering health providers over its ‘core function' of inspection.
