A new two-year programme to help parish and town councils develop their own neighbourhood plans has been welcomed by the National Association of Local Councils (NALC).

Local communities looking to create neighbourhood plans can bid for up to £7,000 under the Supporting Communities and Neighbourhoods in Planning programme.
