If you ever forget the name of a senior council officer, taking a pot shot and calling them John or Sue could rescue you from an embarrassing faux pas.

The two names have been revealed – for the first time – as the most common first names for officers listed in next year's edition of The MJ's sister publication the Municipal Year Book (MYB).
