NAVCA snubs Cabinet procurement initiative

A leading third sector group has snubbed the Cabinet Office's procurement pledge, and instead called on other charities to back an alternative drawn up by the Local Government Association (LGA).

The National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) has turned down an invite to sign up to the Cabinet Office's procurement pledge, which aims to create a more streamlined process to bid for public contracts, and instead backed the draft LGA version currently out for consultation.
