Navigating procurement reform

Raoul Robinson offers a guide to the new procurement regime, setting out key updates and unveiling a number of the most important tools to help deal with the reform.

The Procurement Reform Bill is going to transform purchasing across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Legislation is currently in motion and is due to be introduced later next year. The intention is to make compliant processes quicker, simpler, more transparent – and ultimately, better equipped to meet the UK's demands.

This new procurement regime offers potential value, competition, and can assist decision-making, but may seem a daunting new prospect to many public bodies already tight on capacity. YPO has provided feedback to Government to help shape the Procurement Reform Bill, so understands what organisations can expect when it comes to these changes.
