Nearly 2m voters still to sign up for IER

There are still nearly two million voters – or four percent of the electorate - who have not been signed up to Individual Electoral Registration (IER), according to the Electoral Commission.

There are still nearly two million voters – or four percent of the electorate - who have not been signed up to Individual Electoral Registration (IER), according to the Electoral Commission. 

And the Commission has admitted it doesn't know how successful electoral registration officers will be in making up the gap, and there is a risk it could lose ‘a considerable number of eligible voters' before the May 2016 polls.
