The Government has invested £150,000 in a pilot scheme to encourage residents to arrange their home care online.
The Cabinet Office and the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (Nesta), awarded the grant from the Innovation in Giving Fund to social enterprise Slivers of Time. The firm will now work with Bristol City Council, Hertfordshire CC and Newham LBC to launch a website, which will allow volunteers to register for home care work and residents to book them for placements.
