Newham mayor 'deeply concerned' by airport expansion

Newham LBC’s mayor said she was ‘deeply concerned’ after ministers overruled the council to approve London City Airport’s expansion plans.

Newham LBC's mayor said she was ‘deeply concerned' after ministers overruled the council to approve London City Airport's expansion plans. 

The council previously rejected the airport's proposals to increase passenger numbers by more than a third, citing concerns over noise pollution and other environmental impacts.
