Newham LBC's mayor has defended the London borough's plans to relocate council tenants in other parts of the country, which have been compared to ‘social cleansing'.

In a letter in this week's The MJ, Sir Robin Wales said ‘there are limits to what one borough can do' when it comes to providing affordable housing.
