Newham LBC's chief officer responsible for tackling crime and anti-social behaviour has been called on to advise two government departments.
Trevor Kennett will be helping the cabinet office and the prime minister's delivery unit in a three-month review of anti-social behaviour policies. He will also speak and lead workshops this month for the Government's respect task force. ‘We have a reputation for leading from the front,' said Mr Kennett, who is interim head of the authority's crime and anti-social behaviour service. ‘Newham is willing to break new ground, so we know what works.'
