The Audit Commission has welcomed the announcement by the Cabinet Office that the
watchdog's National Fraud Initiative (NFI) will transfer over to the Whitehall department in 2015.
The NFI will become part of the Cabinet Office's efficiency and reform group when the commission is abolished.
