The only national graduate scheme specifically for local government is failing to reach some parts of the sector, according to data on the distribution of placements seen by The MJ.
Wales, the East Midlands, North East, South West and districts all appeared under-represented in the 24th cohort of the two-year National Graduate Development Programme (NGDP), which started working in councils in the autumn.
