The NHS is the top concern for voters

What the latest IPSOS data shows is that the mayoral model can work in terms of public recognition – even if real power remains firmly rooted in Westminster, according to Ben Page.

Pundits and politicians will be looking at this week's votes to see what they tell us about the state of the parties. Local elections, where the majority do not bother voting, are of course a poor predictor of general elections, but they tell us something.
