NHS debt worries

NHS debt worries Local authorities are being forced to make ‘very difficult decisions', according to the Local Government Association, due to the NHS deficit doubling in the last year to £512m.

LGA adult social care spokesman, Cllr David Rogers, said: ‘Budget problems are causing some NHS trusts to withdraw from joint projects, leaving local authorities to pick up the tab.'
