NHS inspections regime 'at risk' warns regulator

The health secretary is facing renewed criticism over his plans to reform the NHS, after warnings that scrutiny safeguards could be at risk.

The incoming chief executive of Monitor, the regulator of foundation trusts, warned the stability of trusts could be at risk because the Government had refused to create an oversight body.
