NHS reforms 'may hit commissioning'

Findings from a UK Faculty of Public Health survey indicate that professionals fear health reforms would jeopardise healthcare services.

Findings from a UK Faculty of Public Health survey indicate that more than seven out of every 10 professionals fear health reforms would jeopardise the effective commissioning of healthcare services.

According to the survey of almost 1,000 public health specialists, 81% of respondents either ‘disagreed' or ‘strongly disagreed' that the Health and Social Care Bill would reduce healthcare inequalities. Some 71% also felt the Bill would reduce the ability to cope with future pandemics or national emergencies.
