No way out?

With the pre-election Budget looming, public finance economists last week detailed the impact of local government budget cuts over the current Parliament.

Influential public finance think-tank the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) last week issued a study on local authority spending in the age of austerity.

Entitled Central Cuts, Local Decision-Making the briefing rings the changes in local government spending and revenues in England from 2009/10 to 2014/15.
