North Cornwall DC is keeping children's charity the Bishop's Forum afloat with the aid of a new inflatable safety boat.

The council, together with North Cornwall Crime Reduction Partnership, gave grants to the charity to enable it to buy the boat for its outdoor activity centre at Hawk's Tor near Temple. Council chairman Colin Brewer said: ‘We recognise the excellent work the Bishop's Forum is doing in helping vulnerable young people build up their self-esteem through taking part in challenging outdoor activities.'
