Gloucestershire CC's director of finance, Jo Walker, will leave behind her 30-year career at the authority when she joins North Somerset Council as its new chief executive next year.

Ms Walker is currently the strategic director of finance and support services but has previously worked across a range of other services at Gloucestershire, including director of highways, transport and waste, and in health and social care.
