More than 400 organisations have applied for £2.7bn in government funding in the latest round of the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), ministers have announced.

More than 400 organisations have applied for £2.7bn in government funding in the latest round of the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), ministers have announced.

Speaking ahead of a critical report into the interaction between the RGF and the European Regional Development Fund, business minister Mark Prisk told Parliament that he had received 414 new bids for the third phase of RGF funding, which closed on 13 June.
