Northern Ireland's councils today said they need to be equipped to deliver more as the country marks two years since devolved government met at Stormont.

Chief executive of the Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA), Derek McCallan, said councils needed long-term capacity and finances as the country entered the third year without Stormont sitting.
