Nottingham implements workplace parking levy

The nation's first workplace parking levy went live in Nottingham yesterday as part of efforts to improve the city's transport network.

The nation's first workplace parking levy (WPL) went live in Nottingham yesterday (April 1) as part of efforts to improve the city's transport network and create economic growth.

The WPL will see firms providing more than ten parking spaces to employees charged an annual fee of £288 per space.
