Nottingham City Council is expected to bring the company that provides district heating and electricity to some of its most deprived local communities in-house for an estimated transfer cost of £500,000.

The council's executive board meets next week to consider a recommendation that the assets and liabilities of Enviroenergy Ltd are transferred to the council and the commercial entity wound down and closed.
