Town hall bosses in Wales and Scotland have criticised the timing of the forthcoming UK Spending Review, which could hamper the setting of council budgets.

The Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA) warned this week that the lateness of the Spending Review, which is expected on 25 November, will leave very little time for the Welsh Government to set its own budget before the end of the year.
