The Cabinet Office published the much awaited National Procurement Policy Statement (the NPPS) in June. It was trailed in the Government's Green Paper Transforming Public Procurement published in December 2020, and is the next piece in the jigsaw of upcoming legislative and policy reform.

This statement has immediate effect and applies to all contracting authorities in the wider public sector, including local authorities.
