Alan Franks has been appointed as managing director designate of Nuneaton & Bedworth BC.

He will take up the role with immediate effect in a move that will make significant savings for the local authority. The council operated with a corporate management structure involving a chief executive, two directors and six assistant directors. It has been without a chief executive since Christine Kerr retired from the authority in December 2010.
