Has the time come to go 'full Nye' and innovate?

Reform has called for health to be given to local government. Heather Jameson says: 'It is unlikely under the existing government, while Labour currently looks more likely to centralise social care than localise national health.'

‘The Municipal Journal believes the time has arrived when serious consideration should be given to the transfer of the hospital service to local government.'

In the week the think-tank Reform called for health to be handed over to local government, you could be forgiven for thinking the above quote was from our most recent campaign. Instead, it was part of an editor's comment from The MJ in March 1954.
