New officer recruited at Kingston Clinical Commissioning

A new accountable officer has been recruited for Kingston Clinical Commissioning group.

Kingston Clinical Commissioning Group has announced the appointment of David Smith as its accountable officer for the group. He takes on one of the first roles nationally to lead both adult social care services and a clinical commissioning group.

Mr Smith has already been operating as accountable officer for the organisation in an interim capacity, and will assume the official position shortly. He will also continue in his role as director of health and adult services for Kingston upon Thames RLBC, demonstrating the commissioning group's firm commitment to co-ordinate commissioning across NHS and social care services.
