Officers 'frustrated' by Covid inquiry request

Councils were given just days to answer a litany of questions in a 48-page, wide-ranging survey for the Covid inquiry, it has emerged.

Chief executive of the Local Government Association (LGA), Mark Lloyd, said he acknowledged the ‘frustration' officers felt at the ‘short notice' for the survey, which had to be completed by last Monday.
