Areas with exceptional practice leaders in children's social work ‘demonstrate what can be done,' according to a top Ofsted boss.

Ofsted's national director for social care, Eleanor Schooling, said there was ‘no secret formula' when it came to leadership of children's services but insisted there was a ‘collection of attributes' which when put together create a environment where the best outcomes for families can be achieved.
