Ofsted - Newham's quality of social work practice is improving

The quality of social work practice in Newham is improving, but the pace of change has been affected by the pandemic, according to Ofsted inspectors.

The quality of social work practice in Newham is improving, but the pace of change has been affected by the pandemic, according to Ofsted inspectors.

Ofsted said today that a monitoring visit to the council in May had found ‘evidence of sustained progress in the assessment and planning for children who are the subject of plans, although progress is slower than expected due to the impact of the pandemic'.
