Ofsted's national director of social care, Debbie Jones, has announced her intention to step down at the end of next month, it has emerged.
Ms Jones, who joined Ofsted in September 2013, masterminded the single inspection framework for children's social care.
But the former Lambeth LBC director of children's and young people's services courted controversy during a parliamentary grilling in January over the strength and suitability of Ofsted's frameworks for preventing the Rotherham child grooming scandal.
