Newham LBC is to work with various partners to improve the financial performance of the Olympic Stadium, as fears abound that the council may never recoup a £40m loan given for the stadium's transformation.

In 2012, the council decided to invest £40m for the adaptation of the Olympic Stadium, of which it is a co-owner, to turn it into a multi-purpose venue.
