Opportunity in the new industrial strategy

The proposed new nationwide industrial strategy, announced following Brexit, is a recognition that all localities need to step up in terms of economic development considering the potential economic instability that lies ahead.

However, local leaders should not be waiting for clarity to be competitive. Council chief executives must keep a relentless focus on enabling economic growth, while seizing the opportunities uncertainty presents.
