George Osborne has rejected the call from a group of economists and academics to adopt a ‘plan B’ for economic growth.

George Osborne has rejected the call from a group of economists and academics to adopt a ‘plan B' for economic growth.

A letter published in yesterday's Observer signed by 52 experts expressed concern over recent disappointing economic figures. In the last quarter of 2010 the economy shrank by 0.5% and then grew a mere 0.5% in the first three months of 2011.
