New owner plans Shoreham Airport expansion

Brighton and Hove City Council and Worthing BC have finally agreed to sell Shoreham Airport to the Erinaceous Group. ]

The two councils have agreed to give the company a 150-year lease for the airport, and the official transfer is expected to take place later this week. The exact cost of the deal, which has been on the cards for almost a year, is not yet known, but it is thought to be between £7m and £9m. Erinaceous plans to build a railway station and a new business park at the airport.
