Oxford City Council hopes to make a £33,000 return after agreeing to provide a £2.3m loan facility to create more than 25 solar panel schemes.

The council said the return on the loan to the Low Carbon Hub represented a 5% per annum interest rate, compared to an average investment return of just 0.89%.
