The coronavirus emergency will cost councils in Greater Manchester £541m in lost income and extra costs, says leader of Manchester City Council Sir Richard Leese.

The Government has announced that the 10 councils in Greater Manchester will get £89m, and that could increase after new funding of a further £1.6bn nationally was announced last week.
