Northern Ireland council chiefs have urged Stormont ministers to immediately establish a joint leadership board to ease the imminent transition of powers to the 11 new super councils.

Northern Ireland council chiefs have urged Stormont ministers to immediately establish a joint leadership board to ease the imminent transition of powers to the 11 new super councils.

The demand to institute the Partnership Panel, which would be comprised of Northern Ireland Executive ministers and councils leaders, comes barely five months before the new arrangements are due to take place from 1 April 2015.
