New rules, which take effect this week, will protect park home residents from unscrupulous operators, who have abused their position to bully people into selling off their sites, ministers have claimed.

Housing minister, Mark Prisk, said loopholes had been closed to prevent rogue operators manipulating the system to levy unexpected charges and changes of rules.
