Former Leicestershire CC leader, Cllr David Parsons, has today signed a formal letter of apology – over three months after his local standards committee found him to be in breach of the councillors' code of conduct.

The written apology covers Cllr Parsons failure to promptly repay Leicestershire for costs incurred during his European Union related duties serving on the Committee of the Regions (CoR) 'over significant periods of time between May 2006 and September 2011'.
