Leicestershire CC will invoice former leader, Cllr David Parsons, for between £4,000 to £5,000 to cover additional expenses incurred during his European Union-related duties, it has emerged.

Last week, The MJ reported that Cllr Parsons faced a fourth major investigation linked to his expenses, relating to claims made for flat rate travel and meeting allowances for 39 EU Committee of the Regions meetings held between January 2006 and October 2011.
