Leicestershire CC leader, Cllr David Parsons, has survived a bid to oust him by opposition councillors as the row over his expense claims continues.

A special full council meeting was called on Wednesday for a vote of no confidence in Cllr Parsons, which was defeated by 34 votes to 16.
