The NHS finds it difficult to fully engage with local authorities when trying to integrate health and social care services, the National Audit Office (NAO) has found.

While the NHS expects sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) and accountable care systems to improve integration, the report noted engagement between the two sectors was still ‘patchy'.
