The leader of Somerset CC met with environment secretary Owen Paterson yesterday (14 April) to discuss progress on preventing further flooding.

The last time Mr Paterson was in Somerset, he challenged the council and its partners to produce an action plan to prevent widespread flooding in the area again.

That plan was produced and approved by his office last month.
