Pay deal to go ahead

Local government employers have welcomed the unions’ acceptance of their 1% pay offer after Unite became the last of the three to strike a deal.

Trade union Unite today continued to criticise the local government pay offer despite accepting it will be pushed through regardless.

GMB and Unison have already accepted the 1% offer, meaning the employers could have imposed the deal regardless of Unite's stance.
