Pay 'should link to service delivery'

Public sector pay should be linked to service delivery, according to financial services giant PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Its new report entitled Connecting public sector pay to service delivery, claims that society may not be getting the best value from the estimated £137bn of public money spent on public sector pay. It comes as news emerges of three public sector fat cats earning more than £1m a year.
